Online manganese monitors measure manganese content in water using colorimetry.
Manganese analysers are usually found in the water industry where its removal is key in providing high quality drinking water. Manganese may be tested for in the raw water, post filtration and in the final water leaving the treatment works.
Two different colorimetric chemistries are typically used in online manganese analysers; which is best depends upon the application. As a reagent manufacturer, PMA can offer either formaldoxime or leucomalachite green (LMG) based chemistry for our colorimeters. Formaldoxime is typically used in raw water, whilst leucomalachite green is primarily used for low level manganese measurement in final water.
